The utilisation of this incredible technology is still relatively new but there have already been numerous amazing observations and discoveries throughout the World and their uses in Southern Africa are clearly beneficial and becoming more of a necessity for any wildlife enthusiasts, researchers and for security purposes.

When you are not observing wildlife they are still going about their business every day, using new game paths, going to new food sources and perhaps changing movement patterns as summer changes to autumn and winter. If you could be out there with them 24/7, you could monitor these changes before and during the season and make the most of the time you have when you are out there.

A camera trap can let you do just that. A camera trap set up on a game path, waterhole or food source can be your surrogate "eyes in the bush," and it does so without any disturbance.

Since a camera trap will photograph anything that triggers it, you'll also get shots of other animals, some of which may surprise you.
